Hi Stefan. To clarify: - btrfs-tools 0.16 (currently in jaunty) is compatible only with older, unreleased and known-buggy versions of BTRFS -> not the current committed-to disk format in 2.6.29 and later
Thus, a user comes along, either boots 2.6.29 or builds the backported, released BTRFS modules, uses jaunty's btrfs-tools' mkfs.btrfs, and cannot mount the filesystem until they go and upgrade or build btrfs-tools 0.18 -> worse, there is no message saying 'upgrade to btrfs-tools 0.18' Thanks - Daniel -- btrfs-tools (progs) version conflict... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/333199 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
