Hello Brice, This issue is caused by Konqueror actually crashing at logout (or being killed by KDE's session manager because it wouldn't quit properly in time). This is also the reason Macro was not able to reproduce it, since konqueror must die one way or another at logout in order to trigger this annoyance.
In general preventing the restore with --preload is probably no good idea, since one still might want to restore the session, just not right after login. Instead the actual restore dialog should be postponed until konqueror actually gets invoked by the user. Best course of action is to bounce this bug to the KDE developers so we get it changed in KDE itself rather than just Kubuntu. For that purpose someone ought to forward this report to http://bugs.kde.org Brice, if you have time, it would be very kind if you could do that, usually it takes ages until someone from the Kubuntu team gets to it :) Thank you for this report and have a nice day. ** Changed in: kdebase (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low Assignee: Marco Maini (maini10) => (unassigned) Status: Incomplete => Triaged -- Jaunty : Preloading of Konqueror propose to restore tabs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/326803 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
