There's a difference between 'gone' and 'not reproducible'. The original crash only showed up under load, and the low glxgears framerate indicates that some other problem is preventing me from putting a load on the OpenGL pipeline.
I did the Jaunty test on Alpha 5. Was the vblank optimization turned on there? If it was, is there a later build I can try to see if the original problem is still present? If it wasn't, then you have a serious performance problem on multiple Intel-based laptop platforms. Yes, I realize that glxgears is not meant to be a benchmark, but surely a 90% drop in performance is indicative of a problem somewhere. -- glxgears crashes X server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/328208 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
