Got some questions, because I'm having the same symptoms, but I don't believe
it has anything to do with evdev:
- Is the cursor jumping or the actual mouse location? For me, the
hardware-rendered cursor jumps, but input goes where it's supposed to (where
the mouse should have been).
- Does this happen with any mouse you use? It can't possibly be a touchpad
issue - I get it with my USB mice as well as my touchpad.
This problem always seems to crop up after updates to the -intel driver, not
-evdev or any other input driver (and it always seems to go away after another
set updates to -intel, and then it comes back...)
