My system continues to operate flawlessly, so it would appear that my "guess" was correct; as supplemented by noticing other problems with Firebug; although I can't be dogmatic until I reinstall all browser addons sans Firebug and can then continue without error. Given that I am currently in the heat of battle, I'll pass on that additional verification until sometime in the nebulous future.
