Well I have this, but Hauwei e169 (seen as Hauwei E220) is still working
as always in Intrepid and I have not noted any damage to the modem
itself.

It was working fine in Jaunty, though there have been sporadic
hesitations, but then stopped working after thursday's updates. Actually
dmesg sees it and finds its driver, but then the connection doesn't show
up under broadband any more.

I also tested my Nokia N70 and that brings up ttyAM0, shows up and
works.
