After an initial install of Jaunty alpha5, hibernate worked for me once.
I haven't tested it since then until today, and after closing the lid,
the "power mode" LED began blinking per normal, but just stayed that
way. When I opened the lid perhaps half an hour later (when I noticed
it was still blinking) there was only a black screen and blinking
cursor.
The only bits in the log files that look like they might perhaps be
relevant are:
