"Is this really a failure?" Yes. Machine was plugged in at the time, nothing untoward or unexpected happening.
"Did the machine break while going to sleep or waking up?" Suspending, probably. Booted, suspended, resumed, all OK so far, suspended again, machine never came back. Automatic report generated after reboot. "Is it reproducible?" Don't know yet. It's happened one other time (there is another automatic report) but I cannot make it happen. "Did it work before?" Yes. As noted above, the machine does suspend and resume normally usually, but on this and one other occasion it froze. "Do you end up with flashing caps-lock or similar?" Didn't notice.
