Today's update for Jaunty Beta solved the problem (nearly) on my laptop finally. It is the first time I have proper sound on my machine with Ubuntu! That's really a joy...
Congratulations Daniel T Chen for improving Alsa and pulseaudio this way. Well done. God bless you! Anyhow I still could get the sound system to crash (means crackling sound) when I played an MP3 for some minutes with Totem and browsed on the Internet at the same time. The last time I was scrolling down this page when the sound suddenly broke. But that's no comparison to how it was before the newly update. After the crash I do a reboot in order to get sound back again. I don't know yet how to do it else...but after a while I will learn that. -- Sound went chopped, crackling and stottering after playing some streams https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/347588 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
