Not to my knowledge. I've been forced back to Firefox 2.

Subject: [Bug 213086] Re: firefox 3.0b5 goes uninterruptible for a few
secondsduring normal browsing

Is this problem fixed?
I still got it as of today with ubuntu 8.10 and firefox 3.0.8
It gets really bad that it hangs on almost every other minutes when I
use it.
Just want to check to see if there's a way I can get around it.
I like ubuntu but I can't continue to use it until this problem is fixed.
By the way, I don't think this bug is duplicated with bug #215728 since
the cpu usage is zero when the hang occurs.

Binary package hint: firefox
I would have blamed it on flash and it's wrapper due to me being on a
64-bit system, but I experience it during all use, even trying to enter
this bug it locked up at different points. I am running a fully updated
Hardy Heron, 64-bit, configuration. I will get any further information
upon request.
