The network interface should not be shut down when the cable is unplugged. What if I plug it in again? What if it's a transient error?
Some other operating systems used to have the bug that they shut down the network interface when the cable was unplugged. This was extremely annoying, and those operating systems have since been fixed. -- No notification is network cables are unplugged. https://launchpad.net/bugs/26874 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
