I can't remember doing anything that's related to reordering the
contents of /etc/rcS.d.

Is there a way to get it back as it should be?

What says that udev must appear before mountdevsubfs?

Programs which I've tried that have something to do with startup are;
startupmanager and splashy.

I hope programs like sysrc-rc and others that are meant for configuring
which services are activated on what runlevel don't mess with
/etc/rcS.d.
