Shachar - As not every Mozilla contributor is monitoring every Linux distribution and other bug tracking system, issues are not assigned to the right person. In this case, we were aware of this issue, but it is possible that Mozilla will not be aware of Linux issues just because some smart people prefer to report in Ubuntu system, in which no one is monitoring and issues are never forwarded to the upstream maintainers. The only way to make things better for Ubuntu users and Linux in general is to always report issues to the right project, which is Mozilla in this case.
As you can see in the previous comments, until I pointed to the right bug in Mozilla, people here gave the reporter some advices how to get rid of the problem, which in this case won't help him, just because the other people are not aware of similar issues in Mozilla.
