Sorry to gainsay you but I don't think this bug is related to bug 307408. That bug was fixed in Intrepid 8.10 and it does still work in 9.04. As I already said I have no problems traversing and listing the mounted shares in a console window or using Nautilus.
There's only a problem when I use Thunar in 9.04 to do so.
