The technology of using NVRAM either as a drive cache or as a drive replacement
(SSD) is just starting to enter
the marketplace. This is technology that the Ubuntu kernel team is actively
tracking. As these devices and the
drivers to manage them mature, Ubuntu will include support in the released
kernels.
