Thanks for the report, may you please attach your Xorg.0.log after
getting the crash? Which video card and driver are you using ? Are you
using compiz? that's probably a xorg issue.

system crashes while using programs such as GIMP. I then have to reboot by
holding the off button. Also my HP 5300C Scanner does not work.
