I have the same problem on the HP Mini 1000 running Ubuntu 8.10, but the effect is slightly different. After removing the power cord, the OSD fails to display the icon at all; it simply "freezes" the section of the screen (see screenshot). I can continue working, but that portion of the screen remains stuck until the OSD times out--a full 100 seconds.
I can provide more information if necessary. ** Attachment added: "Power Management OSD Freezing Glitch" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26052452/ubuntu-8.10_power-osd-glitch.png -- problem with Gnome-Power Manager, screen light balance image stuck on screen when AC power cable unplugged https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356167 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
