There is a simple bypass, as the man page shows. The option '--stdout' will use 
STDOUT instead of STDERR.
Don't forget to change the redirection.

I noticed this problem too. What wonders me:
- Xdialog is complaining about a module that is there!
- Why does Xdialog need libcanberra in the first place?
- If Xdialog needs it, why isn't it designated as a dependency?
