Hi, I have the same machine and the same problem as mamamel. The only difference is that in my case, my machine doesn't exactly freeze during boot, although at first sight, it certainly seems like it. After a while, and several error messages, the boot completes, and the login screen (GDM) shows up. Here's a short log of the boot messages:
