I am experiencing the same error. This apparently prevents me from correcting a kernel module mismatch.
I am running 9.04 running on Sony Vaio VGN-SZ120P laptop. demsg reports graphics chipset as: "nVidia Corporation G72M [GeForce Go 7400] (rev 01)" Note that I am attempting to run nvidia version 180.44 driver (selected from Hardware Drivers app). This driver will not load as the kernel module is 169.12. (i.e version mismatch). I was attempting/hoping to fix this issue with EnvyNG. -- envyngqt.py crashed with TypeError in __init__() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/277973 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
