I justed updated to Jaunty then changed my desktop to Gnome and the problem is actually worse. Without the patch the system basically goes into a loop consuming all resources. I'm currently using an Intel 8500 Quad Core CPU and utilization goes to about 95% on all 4 cores. The system becomes so unresponsive that X is completely useless and switching to a terminal, logging in, and trying to kill kaptain is literally at a snails pace.
With the patch everything seems to function as it should sans your choice of terminals. I would suggest that the patch be introduced anyway or the package pulled since the system lockup is now very severe. -- Axel-kapt uses all memory and CPU resources https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/236837 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
