hi everyone. @xapient: thanks for the advice, I've already moved back to driver 2.4. We'll see what happens. If it doesn't hang completely in 3 o 4 days i can say it's working, as right now i still have to reboot twice a day.
@marco: did that really work for you? i haven't used the non-propietary drivers cause it's not just that you are not able to run compiz. I don't really care about compiz, i just want the system to run smoothly and with the non-proprietary drivers that doesn't happen. I mean, for example while scrolling up and down with firefox or a folder with a large amount of files... kde's behaviour is "curious". anyway.. what i did try was go back to nvidia 9x drivers, and i had the same kind of problems. let's hope that what xapient suggested works. thanks. -- kubuntu jaunty hangs completely while using mouse https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/366222 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
