I read this link https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingSoundProblems and realized I incorrectly assigned this bug to the wrong project. I understand that this seems to be a common problem with already defined solutions, but as mentioned in my first post, my laptop speakers aren't working (only headphone).
