I just tested with epiphany :
epiphany-browser 2.26.1-0ubuntu1
Intuitive web browser - dummy package
epiphany-browser-data 2.26.1-0ubuntu1
Data files for the GNOME web browser
epiphany-extensions 2.26.0-0ubuntu2
Extensions for Epiphany web browser
epiphany-gecko 2.26.1-0ubuntu1

and it has the same behavior : cannot access mounted network share (in my case,
a samba share, with ldap authentication if it can change something).
Passing through ~/.gvfs works, like on firefox.
Using Konqueror is worth, as it doesn't load ~/.gtk-bookmarks [well,
worth, not really, it's a KDE/QT app, so it just don't know about this
file], and it doesn't show up gvfs share (also "logic", as gvfs is pure
Gnome stuff)
