I confirm this bug. I am using 2.6.28-11-generic on Jaunty.
I have a "/boot" on software RAID1 and the remaining FS on a software RAIDO. I use a PackardBell Laptop with 2 HDD. The workaround is OK, but I have to type it each boot.
