Hi again, Sorry about the delay. We have wifi working on this laptop courtesy of the madwifi project. I wrote a small script that is called from /etc/rc.local that updates the madwifi modules every time there's a new kernel... I've attached it below. I think it works, although I've not updgraded the kernel yet :-)
I've just checked with some headphones, and yes the sound transfers to the headphones when they are plugged in. So all working as planned! Triage folks: I guess this bug can be closed.
