I can confirm identical issue exists on 9.04 running kernel
2.6.28-11-server

change alternate number to 1 (error=-22)
I have tried motion, camserv and vgrabbj to grab frames from either of:
crw-rw-rw- 1 root video 81, 0 2009-05-31 18:14 /dev/video0
crw-rw---- 1 root video 81, 2 2009-05-31 18:14 /dev/video1
With no luck. The attempt will either fail with a
open("/dev/video0", O_RDONLY) = -1 EBUSY (Device or resource
busy)
or simply open the device and then not recieve any input.
