I just stumbled over this problem in jaunty and I think this is a bigger problem than was mentioned here before. Currently the effect is that it is way harder for a user to connect to another Ubuntu machine than it is to connect to a Windows machine.
While connecting to Windows works out of the box you need to know about xnest and need to find out for yourself that it needs to be installed separately if you want to connect to Ubuntu. In my opinion this is a usability bug and xnest should be there by default because if connecting to Ubuntu from Ubuntu is harder than connecting to Windows from Ubuntu for the user this must be an unfortunate indicator that Linux is more complicated than Windows. -- tsclient could install xnest https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/12715 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
