Public bug reported:
I am running jaunty on a compaq presario v2000 laptop. The kernel which comes
with jaunty works fine with suspend/resume.
Since this laptop has an intel card, and because of issues with intel drivers
shipped with jaunty, I followed
this(http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1130582) advise and updated xorg
server and installed 2.6.30 kernel
(http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.30/).
After the upgrade, since the restricted drivers were not available, and
ath5k is not very usable on my system, I compiled and installed the
latest madwifi-ng drivers and blacklisted ath5k and ath9k.
The only problem is that now, the wireless card is not detected upon
suspend/resume. I've verified it with both madwifi-ng and ath5k driver
which came with the kernel.
Here's the output from dmesg when madwifi-ng driver was in use:
Jun 16 23:00:46 wilson-laptop kernel: [11370.764915] ath_pci 0000:07:00.0:

And this message was logged when i tried ath5k driver:

Kernel - linux-image-2.6.30-020630-generic
I know that this is not an issue with the current kernel supplied with jaunty,
but since 2.6.30 is being prepped for karmic, i thought
i would file this bug.
thanks,
