I've the same problem. Unfortunatly the screenshot seems to be unavailable, so i'm just adding some other strange behaviours i've noticed with tray-icons for kde-applications under ubuntu gnome.
Sometimes tray-icons are completly missing. There is just an empty space reserved where the icons should be. This seems to happen completly at random. I've witnessed a similar behaviour as well with "amarok", so it seems to be not just an kopete-problem. Occasionally when the kopete icon is missing, it is placed in an tiny window (maybe 60x60 px - completly with border and and space for the window-title) at the top left corner of the desktop (just below the ubuntu-icon in an standard-gnome). And at some times the icon appears at the top left corner of the screen (hovering over the ubuntu icon). -- Kopete tray icon not in tray (gnome desktop) https://launchpad.net/bugs/67835 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
