I discover the problem. The situation comes when I switch from Windows Vista to Ubuntu (there is a problem with the video card in the GDM too, Ati Mobility Radeon X2300): the solution that I found is to remove the tick on headphones in the GNOME volume manager and reboot the system. All starts fine at the end of operation.
