I agree its not realy a solution, I was just browsing some new bugreports and yours came by I thought maybe it is okay now, just ask and lift some weight of the shoulders of the developers.
It could be going wrong in a lot of places, even a little error in the theme could be the problem, or as you said an eclipse bug. But this wont get solved now as far as I know there wil be no bug report send to the package manager of eclipse now. I sugest you assign a package to this bug so the package manager will be notified of this bug.
