Came across the following issue:
crit...@studio-pc:~$ sudo update-initramfs -u
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.28-13-generic
cp: cannot stat `/etc/udev/udev.conf': No such file or directory
cp: cannot create regular file `/tmp/mkinitramfs_kwJYDH/lib/udev/rules.d': No
such file or directory
ran:
sudo dpkg --force-depends --purge udev
sudo apt-get install udevd
sudo reboot
... and we're good.
Please close bug: pilot error.
