The commit log message you quoted is slightly misleading in that it
implies the gspca_spca501 kernel module occasionally works, which is not
the case under Jaunty. It is 100% non-functional for all hardware it
supports. Cherry-picking this patch corrects the issue, and is less
regression-prone than the Jaunty commit that fixed bug 374122. This bug
does not justify any immediate repackaging, but please reconsider
committing the cherry-pick to the Jaunty git tree. Thank you.
