Hello I have the same problem to a fresh installed Jaunty with Gnome and 2.6.28-13-server kernel. (Fujitsu Siemens Amilo 3650 - 4GB RAM - NVIDIA 9600m GT - Intel Audio HD - 2 SATA HDD 300 GB) I have read all posts. Seems to be a strange bug...
