"Thanks for following up on my old bug report.
I do remember the incident, and it never did get resolved, but it's a long
time ago now, and in the meantime I've moved on from Ubuntu to Vector
Linux, so I guess we might as well cancel the issue. Whilst I may come
back to Ubuntu one of these days, I can't see much chance of me
reproducing the problem in the near future, so probably best we just let
it drop now.
It's encouraging, though, to know that my original report did get some
attention, and I'm grateful for your effort in looking into it."
