What is the deal with all intel drivers just completely sucking these days? If you have intel chipset laptop you are so screwed with any debian at the moment. I'm about to throw this thing out the window. I've used Ubuntu for about 3-4 years solid now, and this recent experience really has been marred by this. I want GUTSY-level stability back. (Sorry for the rant)
But I can confirm that acer aspire 5610 (all intel chipset) is affected by this and I'm lucky if it stays connected long enough to even check for updates. Whoever is responsible for shipping this terrible code should be slapped. This seriously got so bad I reinstalled Vista, just to make sure it wasn't my hardware.
