I can confirm this still happens in karmic, Specifically in Kubuntu
Netbook Remix Alpha 3.

Steps to reproduce remain the same.

on a fresh Install Karmic Alpha 3

1) Click on Hardware Drivers

2) Note it does not display posible installable drivers for my broadcom
card.


what should happen:

1) it should display b43 and allow me to install it.

I am currently doing upgrades on the fresh install to see if it fixes
the issue

as a side note

linux-restricted-mod is not installed upon a fresh install. This should
add the binary blob necesary to run any propietary drivers for my card.
I am updating and shall report later
