I created and attached an example.xls spreadsheet. If you look at the Defined Print Range: Format>Print Ranges>Edit and try to add $1...to -user defined- Rows to repeat...you will receive the error. It does not appear to matter if the row is included or excluded from the "Defined Range".
I tested this on my Vista machine with the same version of OO...and it seems to work with both xls and ods file types...but not on either of my Ubuntu machines (Intrepid and/or Jaunty).
