Are there any other logs or debug information that I can provide to get the ball rolling on this one? It's a bit of a showstopper as I need functional 3G connection for work. Yes, I am aware I can downgrade network-manager as a workaround, but this should be fixed for the karmic cycle.
Also crashing / freezing the OS by unplugging the device (mentioned previously) would be a critical bug AFAIK.
