I attach the results requested by Tony Espy.

Notice that :
1/ The connexion is really established but the route aren't set. You can run 
following commands to use your mobile broadband connexion and check that this 
is working (ping is longer that with ADSL) :
sudo route add default ppp0
sudo route del default gw 192.168.1.1
ping google.fr

2/ To get the log of modem-manager, you need to kill the previously
running process launched at boot time. Otherwise you will get a dbus
error.
