Is there any reason to believe that this problem isn't affecting all the other projects which are using gnutls instead of openssl for licensing reasons? Perhaps with other hard-to-diagnose reliability issues? Core projects I'm seeing that might be affected include cups, exim, gnome- vfs, tracker, vino...
