I successfully connect using NetworkManager from the PPA that provide
NetworkManager trunk builds.
The version used are :
ii modemmanager
0.2.git.20090817t181641.ca767e4-0ubuntu1~nmt2 D-Bus service for managing
modems
ii network-manager
0.8~a~git.20090817t203502.3e22183-0ubuntu1~nmt2 network management framework
daemon
ii network-manager-gnome
0.8~a~git.20090818t151413.a8b7eed-0ubuntu1~nmt1 network management framework
(GNOME frontend
You can test these packages and report results by :
- adding the ppa lines to your apt sources.list:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/network-manager/trunk/ubuntu karmic main
- importing the PPA key:
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys BC8EBFE8
- update and upgrade packages.
