I just did the test below. I'm attaching the files.

[ Here I triggered a suspend via the “fast user switch” applet on the
panel. I distinctly heard the hard drive heads park and the fans slow
down and stop, then everything turned on again. All this takes less than
the 11 seconds suggested by `date`, but I had to type my password after
the resume. ]

bogd...@bywater:~/tests$ date; echo '...it failed :('
Fri Aug 21 17:44:36 EEST 2009
