Hi, I was using whichever version of AVG for Linux was current on 30 May 2009. I am currently unable to ascertain which version that was. I was using 64-bit Jaunty with all updates applied up to 30 May.
Since reporting this bug I have upgraded to 64-bit Karmic alpha 4 with all updates applied. I am now on an ext4 filesystem and my computer now has 3 Gigs of RAM. Today I downloaded AVG 32-bit 8.5.286 with virus database 270.13.64/2321 and installed it. I was able to scan my entire filesystem without issue. Therefore, I cannot reproduce the bug on what is now a significantly different setup.
