For me, creating /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/i686-pc-linux-gnu -> /usr/lib32/gtk-2.0/ does not help. Instead, creating /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/i486-pc-linux-gnu -> /usr/lib32/gtk-2.0/ solves the problem.
