thank you, I appreciate it. My report was a bit of a rant :) ubuntu-bug was _trying_ to upload the crash when I pointed it at /var/crash/whateveritwas, but failing. I now assume it was because of a corrupted crash file, due to concurrent kernel issues at the time of trying to report the bug. I got another oops last night with my modem, but no crash report. I'll follow up in the appropriate place when/if I get something new...
