When installing a new kernel in Karmic, /boot/grub/grub.cfg gets an
extra --no-floppy option which causes no boot stating:
unrecognised option '--no-floppy'
pressing e to edit the grub entry does not allow the deletion of the
option. The offending line is:
search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set 08114a27-6089-4cef-90ea-f03506cc7654
I have been edittig the file manually to remove the entry to give:
search --fs-uuid --set 08114a27-6089-4cef-90ea-f03506cc7654
but this is not hugely practical. It is also added to the recovery boot
so the only way to restore operation is to boot to the live cd and mount
the internal system partition to edit the file. But as soon as update-
grub is ran post installation of a fresh kernel, the option will be re-
added.
Please fix.
