As an aside, when Pulse is spinning the CPU, any time a Flash-using site is loaded in Firefox, the whole browser dies. This makes sites like YouTube and Hulu totally unusable, and it makes it impossible to use audio notifications from applications like Pidgin. Is there a way to get rid of this from the system? It seems if I attempt to remove it, I'll also lose the ubuntu-desktop package.
