Please keep in mind that the reason for a null/dummy device is that
some other process(es) is(are) holding /dev/dsp* or /dev/snd/pcm*, so
try using "sudo fuser -v /dev/dsp* /dev/snd/*" to see what app(s)
is(are) the culprit(s).
